Synopsis[]
Helen Daniels has a few choice words to say to some people, especially Harold Bishop about all the recent speaking their minds, leading to a lot of arguing. Scott Robinson worries whether he will get the job with the local newspaper. Mrs Mangel says she makes it her policy to never interfere, and Harold almost chokes on his coffee. Madge Ramsay plans to move out of No 26 Ramsay Street but Helen talks her out of it. Scott plans a night out at the jazz club with Jane Harris, Charlene Robinson and Mike Young. Madge sneaks back to No 24 Ramsay Street during the night. Helen and Jim are missing them already. Charlene says if Scott gets his new job they can celebrate. They go to bed. Scott wishes they could be alone at No 24 altogether. They are unaware Henry and Madge are back there. The next morning, Mrs Mangel says to Jane that she feels Eileen Clarke is too worried about her remarriage than her friends. Harold says he plans to marry Madge. Jim and Lucy Robinson says the place is quieter without Henry and Madge. Scott has an interview at 4:30. Henry dances to music in the kitchen while Scott and Charlene are out of the room. Henry nicks their toast and runs off. Scott comes in, not knowing Henry is around and thinks Charlene has forgotten to put the toast in. Henry hides behind the couch. Madge emerges from the bedroom. Scott and Charlene do not look very happy. Henry asks if they are pleased to see them. Madge asks "I am not that difficult to live with am I?".
