Synopsis[]
A happy Mike Young and Jane Harris have a drink after the aerobics. Eileen Clarke takes baby Jamie Clarke to see Mrs Mangel. She asks her to look after him. Eileen says she will be back by 12. Paul Robinson gets a call at the office from his dad Jim Robinson to say things are not going too well in Adelaide regarding the Landers. As Eileen walks home from the medical centre, she is accosted by a tramp, aged about 60 who is drunk. Lucy Robinson is studying for her college pass exam. Eileen is cheerful again. Des Clarke does not know she has more pills. Mrs Mangel allows Jane Harris to have a party for Mike when he goes away for 2 weeks. Eileen asks Mike about addiction to tranquillisers. He says the best thing is to not start in the first place. Paul, Gail Robinson and Lucy have dinner. She agrees to go on a diet and if she sticks to it, Paul will go horse riding with her. Jim, Beverley Marshall, Todd Landers and Katie Landers arrive back from Adelaide. Lucy takes them to No 26 and Jim says to Des that Todd and Katie are unhappy. They think their parents do not want them. Lucy says they just do not want them to see them fighting all the time. Eileen is still being moody. Des fills her in on the gossip but she is unusually not interested. Des does not understand what has got into her and says she used to be a tower of strength. Jim says Todd and Katie are welcome in their house. Todd and Katie agree not to be grumpy or run away. The family then all go to bed.
