Synopsis[]
Jim Robinson and Beverley Marshall are cuddling. They get a phonecall from a distressed Eileen Clarke as she is worried about her grandson Jamie Clarke and his babysitter Mike Young. Bev calms Eileen down. Eileen thinks he has been kidnapped. Des Clarke says they are at the jazz club. Mike had an audition. Mike returns and Eileen berates Mike for not leaving a note. Eileen goes to bed. Mike says they wanted a saxaphone player and he got into the audition. Gail Lewis enjoys holding baby Jamie. A paranoid Eileen has taken baby Jamie to the doctors as she is worried that Mike taking him to the audition hurt his ears. It is Lucy Robinson's first day at high school. Gail worries that Paul Robinson is having second thoughts about IVF. She says she got broody after holding baby Jamie last night. Eileen wants Helen Daniels to be her matron of honour at her remarriage to Malcolm Clarke. Lucy has enjoyed her first day at high school. Paul's sperm count is perfectly normal. He says to his family that him and Gail are planning IVF. Mike sings a lullaby to baby Jamie. Eileen asks Mike about her remarriage. He says to go for it. He comforts her when she says people seem to be objecting. Helen plans to move out when Jim and Bev marry.
